Entertainment » OtherPosted at: Jun 25 2016 8:33PM Revenue Department to conduct mock drill on cyclone preparednessPuducherry, Jun 25 (UNI) The Revenue and Disaster Management Department of the territorial administration would conduct a mock drill on cyclone preparedness at Pillaichavady village near here tomorrow. According to an official statement here today, demonstration on how to remove uprooted trees from roads to restore traffic, save people trapped under the debris of buildings, prevent intrusion of sea water and rescue people from drowning in the sea would be part of the mock drill. The mock drill will help to assess the preparedness and to fine tune it. As many as 16 emergency teams and several departments of the territorial administration including Police, Fire service, PWD and Electricity besides Coast Guard would involve in the drill.
