New Delhi, Sept 10 (UNI) More than three decades after Mahesh Bhatt's 'Arth' hit the silver screen, filmmaker Revathy will helm a remake of the film, trade sources said. 'Arth' remake will be directed by Revathy and produced by Sharat Chandra. Revathy received blessings from Mahesh Bhatt for the remake. Speaking about the film's remake, Bhatt said,'Revathy to give new meaning to Arth. Sharat Chandra is the architect of this enduring classic of mine.' Released in 1982, Mahesh Bhatt's 'Arth' starred Shabana Azmi, Kulbhushan Kharbanda and Smita Patil in lead roles and also featured Raj Kiran and Rohini Hattangadi in key roles. Written by Bhatt, 'Arth', an iconic film of its times, was a semi-autobiographical film about his extramarital relationship with Parveen Babi.
