Retired SP among 3 booked for attack on on-duty Traffic police constable in Nanded

Nanded, May 20 (UNI) The Degloor police have filed a case against three members of a family, including a retired deputy superintendent of police, for allegedly attacking an on-duty Traffic police constable in Degloor town.
The incident occurred on Sunday evening when a truck carrying sand for construction work at the house of accused Ramesh Kantewar, retired superintendent of police, had blocked the road resulting in traffic jam, police said.
When on-duty Traffic police constable Ganpat Baburao Shelke was trying remove the truck in order to restore the traffic, Kantewar got enraged over the matter, came onto the road, dragged the police constable with the collar of his (Shelke) shirt in the latter's house and beat him.
