Restrictions completely lifted in Leh

Srinagar/Leh, Oct 15 (UNI) Restrictions were lifted in Leh today three weeks they were imposed in the wake of violent protests.
Leh District Magistrate Romil Singh Donk ordered complete withdrawal of the restrictions which were imposed on September 24 under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), 2023, to maintain public peace and tranquillity following violent demonstrations that left four people dead and over 100 injured.
According to the official order, the restrictions were initially implemented as a preventive measure to avert any further breach of peace. Over the past weeks, authorities gradually eased the curbs as the situation improved, culminating in their complete withdrawal today.

Clerk arrested in Farrukhabad for accepting Rs 15,000 bribe

Farrukhabad, Nov 14 (UNI) A clerk posted at the Superintendent of Police (SP) office in Farrukhabad has been arrested on charges of bribery on Friday. A six-member team from the Lucknow Anti-Corruption Organization unit caught him red-handed while he was allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 15,000.
