Entertainment » OtherPosted at: Jan 16 2017 10:30PM Restaurants in Goa can remain open after 2300 hrs but can't serve liquor: CEOPanaji, Jan 16 (UNI) Goa Chief Election Officer (CEO) Kunal today clarified that restaurants in the state can remain open even after 2300 hrs but bar attached to them will have to be shut as model code of conduct was in force in view of the assembly elections in the state on February 4. Addressing a press conference at his office in the city, he said, ''Collectors had issued order that by 2300 hrs restaurants and bars will have to be shut. We had received representations from Travel and Tourism Association of Goa (TTAG) and other organisations in this regard. Now District Collectors have issued clarification that the restriction applies only to the bars not the restaurants. Those restaurants that are having attached bars should close bars and can keep open the restaurants. Eateries will be allowed even after 2300 hrs but bar component will have to be closed. We would like to clarify that closure is closure. After 1100 hrs serving of alcohol will not be allowed.''
