New Delhi, Aug 11 (UNI) Terming the resolution of the crisis faced by the party in Rajasthan as a victory for the eight crore people in the state, as also the Congress Legislators, Congress on Tuesday said it is also a befitting reply to BJP, who was seeking to form a Government, despite being in minority.
Addressing a press conference through video-conferencing, AICC Media In-Charge Randeep Surjewala said, 'This was made possible on account of the vision and the belief of Shri Rahul Gandhi in carrying all Congress leaders together bereft of any differences of opinion that they may have. It was also helped by the cooperation and assistance given by Mrs Priyanka Gandhi Vadra.
'All this was not possible but, for the maturity shown by Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot as also the inherent belief and commitment of Mr Sachin Pilot. This is also befitting reply to BJP and its conspirators, who, despite having been rejected by the people of Rajasthan, were seeking to form a BJP Government, while being in minority,' Mr Surjewala said.
'We will all work together, including Mr Sachin Pilot, including all the 18 MLAs or 17 MLAs who had gone, including Mr Ashok Gehlot and all other Legislators, who were supporting our Government in strengthening Rajasthan and in fighting COVID-19 and other economic calamities. As they say, All's Well That Ends Well,' he added.
The longstanding crisis faced by the Congress Party in Rajasthan was resolved on Monday, after a meeting of Mr Pilot with Mr Gandhi, after which party chief Sonia Gandhi decided to set up a panel to look into the grievances of Mr Pilot.
