Resentment triggers over insult of Tripura royal scion in congress meeting

Agartala, Dec 22 (UNI) Reported humiliation of Tripura royal scion and working president of state congress committee Pradyot Kishore Debbarman by youth congress president Sushanta Chakraborty and general secretary Prasanta Sen Chowdhury in the extended meeting of the party yesterday in Congress Bhawan has triggered widespread resentment across the state.
The congress president Birjit Sinha denied the allegation and argued that he cannot divulge the discussion had happened in the party meeting while Pradyot is yet to issue any clarification over the report of his insult or did not responding the media calls.
According to party insiders, during the meeting both Chakraborty and Sen Chowdhury abused Pradyot in communal line and misbehaved with him openly. They were allegedly warned him to relinquish the post he has been holding for betterment of the party, which had gone to the extent of alleging him of hobnobbing with the opposition party leaders.
