Reports of losses caused by locust swarms sought: Haryana Mininster

Chandigarh, Jul 12 (UNI) Haryana Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare Minister J P Dalal said that as per the directions of Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, reports of losses caused by the locust swarms have been sought and special 'girdawari' (document) will be conducted wherever the damage is more.
The Minister visited the locust-affected area of Charkhi Dadri district on Sunday and took stock of the damage caused by it. He was apprised by the Deputy Commissioner about the locust attack in the district.
Mr Dalal directed the officers of the Agriculture Department to get the insecticides sprayed immediately wherever locusts are found. He also directed to constitute a group consisting of four to five people each from 20-25 villages per district so that the information of the locust swarms can reach the administration on time and they can be eliminated.
