Reliance team scored an easy 135 runs victory over Mahindra Rise in corporate league in Goa

Panaji, Jan 14( UNI) A fine unbeaten knock of 85 runs laced with six fours and three sixes by Parthiv Patel and his two fruitful partnership of 95 runs and 98 runs for the first and second wicket enabled Reliance team to score a comfortable 135 runs win over Mahindra Rise and registered a second victory in the Goa Cricket Association( GCA) corporate league cricket tournament match being played at Cricket academy ground porvorim in north Goa today. Reliance team, after winning the toss and opted to bat first, laid a strong foundation yielding 95 for the first wicket between opener Parthiv Patel and Jitesh Sharam before Sharma was out on( 66, 6x4, 5x6 in 26 b) with a score on the board 95for 1.Later Unmukt Chand joined Opner Patel both also kept the score board moving and both added another 98 runs for the second wicket with a score on the board 194 for 2 beforChand was out on 58, 3x4, 5x6 in 23 b) and folded their inning with a total score of 227 for 3 in allotted 20 overs. Parthiv Patel, who remained not out with 85 in 61 balls was adjudged the man of the match. Mahindra Rise team chasing the target of 228 runs for a win started badly and their wicket fell at regular intervals managed to score only 92 runs lossing 8 wickets in 20 overs. Except Ankit Shastri 20, Harsh T 17, dHARAM ghantra 19 and Niketan Pandey 16, no other bastsmen made any significant contribution for Mhindra rise side. Vinay Kumar and Krunal Pandya claimed two wickets each giving away 15 and 10 runs respectively.
