New Delhi, Apr 1 (UNI) Centre on Wednesday cautioned all states and Union Territories that allowing exceptions beyond what has been allowed under lockdown amounts to violation of the lock down measures.
In a letter written to the all Chief Secretaries and Administrators, the Union Home Secretary Ajay Kumar Bhalla said that recently states and UTs have been allowing exceptions beyond what has been allowed under lockdown measures by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), as contained in the Consolidated Guidelines, which amounted to violation of the lockdown measures issued by MHA under the Disaster Management Act, 2005 which may defeat the overall objective of containing the spread of COVlD-l9 in the country.
Hence, the Home Secretary requested all the State Govemments and UT Administrations requested to strictly implement the lockdown measures.
