Relationship with Bengal Govt improving for some time: Guv

Siliguri, Feb 21 (UNI) West Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar on Friday stated that his relationship with the State Government has been improving for some time.
Mr Dhankar said there were several reasons for the rift between him and the Government.
However, their relationship has been improving.
Addressing media in the State Guest House here today, the Governor stated that he held discussions regarding various issues with the Chief Minister, other State Government officials along with Minister Partha Chatterjee and Amit Mitra.

Taking to his Tweeter handle, the Governor said, “Inaugurated a well attended conference of lawyers at Lataguri in Jalpaiguri District. Called upon the legal fraternity to play pro active role in protection of human rights and ensuring free and fair elections.”

“The three day lawyers workshop at Lataguri inaugurated by me was also graced by WB Minister Gautam Deb, Calcutta HC Judge Samapti Chatterjee, Jalpaiguri Lok Sabha MP Jayanta Kumar Roy, Bar Council of India Chairman Manan Kumar Mishra apart from senior advocates and young lawyers,” Mr Dhankar said.

Earlier, in another tweet said, “Had pleasant chance meeting at Bagdogra Airport with former Cabinet Minister and an old friend @ShahnawazBJP. A gentleman par excellence."
