Regent Hospitals’ issue was happened with help of Govt: Secretary General of BNP

Dhaka, Jul 10 (UNI) Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, Secretary General of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), has alleged that the misdeeds of the Regent Hospitals were carried out with the help of the government.
The BNP Secretary General made the allegation in a virtual discussion on Thursday.
"How can a hospital issue a false certificate," he said. Yesterday I saw this on Ekattar Television - all our ministers are very closely acquainted with him (Md. Shahid, the head of the Regent Hospital), talking to them very closely, and working. In other words, they did this misdeed with the help of
the government," he added.

"The role of this government in the Covid-19 virus, their performance - it goes without saying. We are all watching, suffering every moment," Mirza Fakhrul said.
"We have to wake up in the morning and hear the news of death again before going to bed at night. In this way, there will be death in the epidemic but there will be no resistance and the government will push people to death through extreme indifference and negligence. It can never be acceptable," he added.
"If we want to get out of this situation, if we like to show importance on the opinion of our people, if we really want to build a democratic state, if we want to build a welfare state, there is no alternative to building national unity. All political parties must get united under single platform to protect democracy; they must come together today to protect the rights of the people," he added.
