Red alert in K'taka over cyclone Nivar

Mysuru, Nov 25 (UNI) A red alert has been sounded in Karnataka as cyclone Nivar is set to cross Tamil Nadu and Puducherry on Wednesday.
Speaking to media, Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa said that authorities concerned have been asked to be prepared for any eventuality.
Answering a question, the Chief Minister said, 'can we stop the cycle? All that we can do is to take preventive measures to avoid maximum damages. Authorities have been asked to declare a red alert in the coastal Karnataka'.
