Recovered figure crosses 10,000 as Assam COVID tally reaches 16,071

Guwahati, Jul 11 (UNI) The number of recovered COVID 19 patients in Assam crossed 10,00 today, while the overall tally breached 16,000.
As many as 535 new cases were detected in the state today, taking the overall tally to 16,071.
Out of the new cases, 410 were reported from main city Guwahati, where an ongoing two-week lockdown to check spread of the virus has been extended by another week from tomorrow.

Itanagar, Mar 28 (UNI) Senior BJP leader and Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu, and four other candidates of the Saffron party are 'set’ to be declared elected unopposed as none of their opponents had filed nominations against them in the five Legislative Assembly Constituencies till Wednesday (March 27), the last date of filing nominations for the April 19 polls.
