Reasi Police tells VDCs to remain alert ahead of Panchayat Polls

Jammu, Nov 13 (UNI) Ahead of Panchayat Polls scheduled to begin from November 17 in Jammu and Kashmir, Reasi police have asked the Village Defence Committee members to remain alert and vigilant.
“All VDC members belonging to adjoining villages were summoned in context with the incoming Panchayat elections on Wednesday and they were briefed to keep up the alertness level and to be vigilant at all the times,” Additional SP Reasi, Shiv Kumar Chouhan said after conducting an extensive tour of Bhomag area of the district.
He said that the VDC members have also been told to keep track of activities to thwart the nefarious designs of the anti social elements.
