Real estate prog Confluence 2019 concludes

New Delhi, Feb 13 (UNI) Mahindra Lifespace Developers Limited, the real estate and infrastructure development arm of the Mahindra Group, on Wednesday concluded the fifth edition of ‘Confluence’ -- a thought leadership platform presented by Mahindra World City.
The forum addressed the theme of ‘Thinking Cities: The Rise of Resilience’ this year, focusing on the role of citizenry, policy-makers and corporates in making cities more resilient.
The forum’s emphasis this year lay firmly on measures required to enable urban resilience, defined by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), as ‘the ability of households, communities and nations to absorb and recover from shocks, whilst positively adapting and transforming their structures and means for living in the face of long-term stresses, change and uncertainty’.
With accelerating urbanisation in India, Confluence 2019 engaged diverse stakeholders to ideate on issues related to urban development and building cities that can withstand the ravages of time.
Confluence 2019 focused on building consensus on the development trajectory of resilient cities by exploring the systems that make up our cities and their interdependencies and subsequent risks. Discussions at the forum also explored measures required to make our cities more resilient.
