Hyderabad, Jan 28 (UNI) Telangana Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar directed District Collectors to ensure that all educational institutions are fully ready for the start of classes as per Covid-19 norms from February 1.
The Chief Secretary conducted a Tele Conference with all the district Collectors, four Welfare secretaries and Secretaries of Residential Schools regarding the supply of quality vegetables to various residential institutions.
It is known that Chief Minister on Wednesday visited Ontimamidi Vegetable Market and interacted with farmers, an official release here said on Thursday.
The Chief Secretary directed the Secretaries and Collectors to examine the possibility of supply of vegetables from Ontimamidi to the residential Institutions and hostels across the State.
They were directed to study feasibility and prepare an action plan for the supply of vegetables. It will help to get quality vegetable at a competitive price and also benefit the vegetable growers. The Welfare Secretaries were directed to involve youths for procurement and supply of vegetables and if eligible, provide support for transportation using economic benefit schemes.
In addition, District Collectors were directed to ensure that all educational institutions are fully ready for the start of classes as per Covid-19 norms from February 1. The Collectors were also requested to do surprise inspections of educational institutions etc., Number of residential institutions are reported functioning outside the assembly constituency.
The district Collectors were directed to shift these institutions to within the Assembly Constituency in a time-bound manner.
