Ravi Satyanarayana to take over as new MAPS director

Chennai, Jan 1 (UNI)) Mr Ravi Satyanarayana will take over as Station Director of Madras Atomic Power Station here from tomorrow, according to a MAPS press release he will take of from the incumbunt Mr T.J Kotteeswaran.
An outstanding Scientist who was transferred to Rajasthan, Rawatbhatta Site, Rajasthan as Site Director, Ravi Satyanarayana, Electronics and Communication Engineer, has 31- years of experience in the nuclear field in the areas of Construction, Commissioning, Operation and Maintenance of Nuclear Power Plants.
He has served in several Indian Nuclear Power stations such as Rajasthan Atomic Power Station, Narora Atomic Power Station & Kaiga Generating Station and he also represented Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited in World Association of Nuclear Operators, Tokyo Centre, Japan from 2011 to 2013 for enhancing performance of Indian Nuclear Power Plants.
He is also an expert of Reactor Control and Computerized control systems and successfully commissioned the entire Control systems of both Kaiga Generating Stations 1 and 2, and his contributions in the area of study of power grid disturbances and improving its reliability in coordination with grid authorities enhanced the availability factor of Kaiga Generating Stations.
Prior to this assignment, R. Satyanarayana was the Chief Superintendent of
Madras Atomic Power Station at Kalpakkam.
