Rape remarks: Selja demands apology from Khattar

Hisar, Nov 18 (UNI) Rajya Sabha MP and Congress leader Kumari Selja criticised the controversial statement given by Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on the incidents of rape, saying it was a matter of great shame that the Chief Minister was making undignified comments on the suffering of women.
Ms Selja said the Chief Minister should immediately apologise for making such a statement, warning that if he did not do so, women of the state would protest against him.
Former Union Minister Kumari Selja in a statement said that the incidents of crime against women were increasing in BJP-ruled states. Rather than taking proactive steps to stop the occurrence of such incidents in the state, the Chief Minister is directly blaming women for the occurrence of these incidents, she pointed out.
