Ramanathan/Travagli go down in quarters in men's doubles

Chandigarh, Oct 11 (UNI) Ramkumar Ramanathan of India, pairing with Stefano Travagli of Italy, fought a tough battle before going down to Roman Jebavy of Czech Republic and Igor Zelenay of Slovakia in the men's doubles quarter-final round of €92,040 ATP World Tour Vendéspace (France).
Jebavy/Zelenay survived a match point (8-9) in the match tie-breaker after sharing the first two set. Jebavy/Zelenay, who led 4-0 and 7-4 before
Ramanathan/Travaglia staged a brilliant rally and levelled the score to 8-8 and serving an ace (second in tie-breaker) led for the first time at 9-8 and getting the opportunity for the match point.
However, Jebavy/Zelenay denied them this chance and make it 9-9 and unlimately clinching the tie-breaker at 12-10 and the match. Jebavy and Zelenay won 6-0, 5-7, 12-10 in one hour and 11 minutes on Thursday.

Jebavy and Zelenay dominated the first set and Ramanathan/Travaglia had no clue in the set. Ramanathan/Travaglia were broken in the first and third sets as Jebavy and Zelenay raced to 6-0 win without dropping even a single game.
Ramanathan/Travaglia fought back and won the second set at 7-5 and match going into match ding dong tie-breaker. Ramanathan/Travaglia earned €1090 and 18 ATP points.
The Indo-Italian pair served six aces and committed two double faults in comparison to four aces and two double faults by their rivals. Ramanathan/Travaglia save six out nine break points and won one of four break points.
Jebavy and Zelenay saved three out of four break points and won three out of nine break points.
