Chandigarh, Sept 19 (UNI) Unleashing 11 aces and committing a solitary double fault, fifth seed India's Ramkumar Ramanathan moved into the prequarter-finals in the men's singles of the €46,600 Murray Trophy Challenger Tennis Tournament in Glasgow (Great Britain) on Wednesday.
In the second round match, Ramkumar Ramanathan disposed of the challenge of Altug Celikbilek of Turkey in straight sets 6-4, 6-2 in 66 minutes.
Altug Celikbilek fired six aces and committed two double faults. He saved nine out of 12 break points.
Ramkumar will now meet Botic Van de Zandshulp of Netherlands.
Ramkumar, who is partnering Marek Gengel of Czech Republic, are pitted against fourth seeded Polish pair of Karol Drzewiecki and Szymon Walkow in men's doubles quarter-finals.
