Ram Subhag Singh to be new DDG of UIDAI

New Delhi, May 30 (UNI) Senior IAS officer Ram Subhag Singh will be the new Deputy Director General (DDG) of Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), Chandigarh under the Department of Electronics & Information Technology, Ministry of Communications & Information Technology. Mr Singh was the Managing Director of National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India Ltd. (NAFED) under the Department of Agriculture, Cooperation & Farmers Welfare. The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet approved his appointment today. Mr Singh is an IAS officer of 1987 batch from Himachal Pradesh Cadre. According to a press note issued by the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions here today, an another senior IAS office of 1988 batch Sanjay Ambadas Chahande will become Deputy Director General (DDG), Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), Mumbai under the Department of Electronics & Information Technology, Ministry of Communications & Information Technology. Ms Vandana Gupta, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Women & Child Development has been appointed as Joint Secretary, National Commission for Women (NCW) under the Ministry of Women & Child Development on lateral shift basis. According to the note, Ms Sonia Sethi, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Culture will become Additional Director General of Foreign Trade (Addl. DGFT), Mumbai, Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) under the Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce & Industry. She will replace Ms. Kavita Gupta, an IAS officer of 1985 batch.
