New Delhi, Sep 30 (UNI) Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh today called an emergency high-level meeting to take stock of the security situation in the wake of surgical strike by Indian Army across the Line of Control. The meeting was attended by NSA Ajit Doval, IB, R&AW chief, Army chief and the DGMO. Before going to the meeting, Mr Singh called on Director Generals of CISF, NDRF and NSG, OP Singh, RK Pachnanda and Sudhir Pratap Singh respectively. During the meeting at the Home Ministry, Mr Singh also reportedly discussed the issue of Army jawan Chandu Babulal Chauhan, serving with 37 Rashtriya Rifles who was captured by Pakistani rangers after he inadvertently crossed over to the other side of the LoC. MoS for Home Affairs Hansraj Ahir said the government was trying to coordinate with Pakistan counterparts to release the Indian soldier, who mistakenly crossed over the LoC and was not a part of yesterday’s surgical operation. “We are trying to bring back a soldier at the earliest, who crossed LoC by mistake,” tweeted Mr Ahir. The Home Ministry has put Delhi and Mumbai on a high alert after an intelligence input that the Pakistan terrorist outfits could hit these cities after surgical operation carried out by Army yesterday. Delhi police and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) have been asked to be more vigilant against a possible terror attack during next 48 hours. Keeping in view the gravity of the situation, the Centre has increased army deployment, in addition to BSF, at the LoC. UNI XC RSA AE 1522
