Rajiv sired IT revolution: MP CM

Bhopal, Aug 19 (UNI) Reminiscing erstwhile premier Rajiv Gandhi on the eve of his 75th birth anniversary, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath averred on Monday that the former was the father of India’s computer revolution.
“At that juncture, some people opposed the measure, terming it fatal vis-a-vis employment opportunities. The youth are in a position to obtain maximum employment in the present digital age. We will always remember Mr Gandhi and his work shall ever inspire us. Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru dreamed of a modern nation and laid the foundation for a strong country. Mr Gandhi envisioned India of the 21st century and commenced the process of realising the same. He firmed up Panchayati Raj to strengthen rural India and made villagers realise the rights and duties of democracy for the first time,” the Chief Minister was officially quoted as saying.
Today we are sensing the absence of such a politician, he said, adding that due to Mr Gandhi’s martyrdom, the nation lost a leader who advocated creativity in politics with youthful thinking.
