New Delhi, Feb 16 (UNI) The social activist-turned-politician, who made heads turn within 24 hours of assuming charge as the Minister for the Schedule Caste and Schedule Tribe in 2015, for his decision of widening the scope of developmental works that can be undertaken by MLAs using the SC/ST Welfare Fund, is set to make history again, vowing to improve the condition of SCs and STs.
The Seemapuri MLA, who took oath on Sunday as a Minister in the newly-formed Aam Aadmi Party government in the national capital on Sunday, was among the six Cabinet Ministers, retained by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.
The lawyer had joined the party in 2014 and was subsequently elected as an MLA from Seemapuri seat, though he had been a social activist since 1982.
