Rajasthan: 5 killed 3 injured in Balotra road accident

Jaipur, July 13 (UNI) Five persons were killed and three seriously injured in a massive collision between an SUV and a dumper truck on Rajasthan's Balotra-Jodhpur Highway late Sunday night.
The ill-fated Scorpio car was taking back home pilgrims in Kanod village of Balotra district after paying obeisance at a nearby shrine. It rammed into the dumper from the rear, along Bhandiawas village in Balotra district around 11:30 pm last night, the police sources said.
The collision was so massive that the car was reduced almost into wrackage. Its bang was heard in areas far away from the mishap site. Hearing the bang, people from nearby localities rushed to the spot and resorted to rescue efforts.
