Raj HC allows Pilot, other rebels to file fresh plea challenging disqualification

Jaipur, Jul 16 (UNI) The Rajasthan High Court on Thursday adjourned the hearing of a writ petition filed by rebel Congress leader Sachin Pilot and 18 other MLAs, challenging the notice sent by the Speaker to disqualify them from the state Assembly.
The petition challenged the notice on the grounds that state Assembly was not in session. Noted advocate Harish Salve, appearing for the rebel Congress leaders, however urged the court to allow a fresh petition with certain amendments. Salve also demanded that the petition be taken by a divisional bench.
On the other hand, advocates Abhishek Manu Singhvi, M S Singhvi and Abhay Bhandari, appearing as respondents, vehemently opposed the writ petition and asked the court to dismiss it.
