Raj Bhawan celebrates Rakhsabandhan, Governor Jagdeep Dhankar Greets People of Bengal

Kolkata, Aug 14 (UNI) Raj Bhawan today celebrated the auspicious Rakhsabandhan (Rakhibandhan) and Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar conveyed his heartiest greetings and good wishes to the people of West Bengal.
Mr Dhankhar said that the festival of Rakshabandhan symbolizes not only the deep love between a sister and a brother but also strengthens the support base of the relationship.
All brothers and sisters and people of different communities observe the ceremony with affection, respect, faith and deep wish for mutual wellness.
Mr Dhankhar expressed his confidence that successful observation of this unique tradition of Indian culture will also strengthen social unity and national integrity.
The celebration of Raksha Bandhan- also took place today at Rajbhavan where members of the various organizations including Brahma Kumaries and All India Quami Ekta Committee participated in the celebration.
BJP leader and MP Locket Chatterjee also took part in the celebration and was seen to tying up rakhi to the governor.
