Rain, thunderstorm likely to occur in Kerala

Thiruvananthapuram, Oct 17 (UNI) Thunderstorm with wind speed reaching 40 kmph (in gusts) accompanied by moderate rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places in Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Idukki, Thrissur, Kozhikode, Palakkad, Wayanad, Malappuram, Kannur and Kasaragode districts, a MeT press release said here on Thursday.
Squally weather with wind speed reaching 45-55 kmph gusting to 65 kmph is likely to prevail over southeast Arabian sea and adjoining Kerala coast and Lakshadweep area for next 24 hours valid from 0000 hrs of October 18.
Fishermen are advised not to venture into the sea.
