Rain lash parts of Himachal, mercury dips

Shimla, Apr 18 (UNI) Light to moderate rainfall during last 24 hours in parts of the state, brought down mercury below normal, MeT dept said on Thursday.
The Met office said that high reaches of Kinnuar, Kangra Lahaul Spiti and Chama also experienced fresh spell of snowfall, however the sky was mainly cloudy on Thursday.
Minimum temperatures decreased by two to three degree Celsius and Maximum temperatures decreased by five to six degrees during last 24 hrs However Minimum temperatures were two to three degrees below normal & Maximum temperatures 11 to 12 degree below normal.
Dalhousie in Chamba got 53 mm rainfall, Guler in Kangra 43 mm, Gaggal 42 mm, Dharamshala 40 mm, Paonta Sahib in Nahan 39 mm, Banjar in Kullu 38 mm, Renuka in Nahan 35 mm, Dehra Gopipur in Kangra 34 mm, Pachhad in Sirmaur 33 mm Nahan 32 mm, Nadaun in Hamirpur & Tissa in Chamba 26 mm each.
Nagrota Suriyan & Baijnath in Kangra 25 mm each, Sarkaghat, Jogindernagar in Mandi & Sujanpur Tira in Hamirpur 23 mm each, Gohar in Mandi 22 mm, Bhuntar in Kullu, Jhandutta in Bilaspur & Saloni in Chamba 20 mm each, Mandi 19 mm, Bijahi , Manali & Seobagh in Kullu 18 mm each,

Minimum temperature of Keylong in Lahaul Spiti district was at one degree today, Kalpa in Kinnuar and tourist resort
Kufri was 2.7 degrees each and Tourist resort Manali 4.8 degrees, this capital town as 6.7 degrees and five degree down the normal.
Minimum temperature of Una 14 degrees and Nahan 7.7 degrees and 13 degrees down the normal , Sundernagar was 12.5 degrees Bhuntar 9.2 degrees, Dharamshala 8.8 degrees, Solan 10.6 degrees, Kangra 12 degrees, Mandi and Hamirpur 13 degrees each, Bilaspur 13.4 degrees, Chamba 10.6 degrees and Dalhousie 5.1 degrees respectively.
The Met Office forecast mainly dry weather in the state during next 24 hrs.
