Railway Minister faces employees ire

Lucknow, Nov 16 (UNI) Railway Minister Piyush Goel faced the ire of the railway employees after he refused to accept demands of the employees’ association following which they raised slogans against the minister and tried to stop his fleet here on Friday.
Goel was chief guest in a function organized by the Northern Railway Men’s Union (NRMU) on its 70th anniversary at Railway stadium.
The problem started when the Railway Minister refused to accept the demands raised by general secretary of the All India National Federation of Railways Shiv Gopal Mishra. Mishra had asked for restoration of the National Pension Scheme and government job for the dependants of the employees who died during their service tenure. He even asked job guarantee for those who have done apprentice course of the Indian Railways.
