Lucknow ,Jan 3(UNI) The slated showdown between Congress president Rahul Gandhi and Union Textile minister Smriti Irani in Amethi battle field has been avoided on Friday when Congress president delayed his arrival due to his pre-occupancy in Lok Sabha.
Earlier, Mr Gandhi was slated to reach Amethi via Lucknow in the morning but now he will directly reach Amethi in the evening.
The delay in arrival of the visit of Rahul Gandhi has avoided a possible clash with BJP leader Smriti Irani , who will reach Amethi in the morning and will return back to Delhi in the evening.
