New Delhi, Aug 16 (UNI) Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Thursday visited All India Institute for Medical Sciences to enquire about the health of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, who is in a critical condition since Wednesday.
The former Prime Minister continues to be critical and on a life support system, the All India Institute for Medical Sciences said on Thursday in the latest bulletin on his health.
The visit by Mr Gandhi follows that of several dignitaries .
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has visited AIIMS twice since Wednsday to enquire about Mr Vajpayee's health.
Several Union Ministers including Piyush Goyal , Smriti Irani and Suresh Prabhu visited the premier hospital on Wednesday, Thursday saw the visit by Vice-President Venkaiah Naidu, veteran BJP leader L K Advani and his daughter Pratibha Advani, BJP president Amit Shah, Home Minister Rajnath Singh, Science and Environment Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan, MoS in PMO Jitendra Singh and MoS Health Ashwini Kumar Choubey to the AIIMS to enquire about former Prime Minister's health.
Senior BJP leader M M Joshi and External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj also visited AIIMS.
Mr Vajpayee was admitted to hospital on June 11 due to urinary track infection and other problems.
