Rahul sounds poll bugle in Arunachal, says BJP & RSS destroying culture of North east

Itanagar, Mar 19 (UNI) Sounding the poll bugle for the forthcoming Assembly and LoK Sabha
elections in Arunachal Pradesh, Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday launched a scathing attack on the BJP and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) , charging it of destroying the culture of the North Eastern (NE) region.

On the anti-PRC (Permanent Residential Certificate) protest in which three people were killed last month, Mr Gandhi said that the issue could had been sorted out through dialogue.

“Why was it that you had to resort to firing to your own people (during PRC protest) ? Can’t we talk with our people with love. Is shooting necessary ?,” the Congress president asked the ruling BJP.

Mr Gandhi said that the decision of future of Arunachal Pradesh should be taken by the people of the state.

“Arunachal’s culture, language and history is the strength of the country. The future of Arunachal Pradesh should be decided by the people of the state by themselves. Why should Delhi, Nagpur (headquarters of RSS) take the decision ?,” he asked.
