Chandigarh, Dec 14 (UNI) Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has asked the Congress president Rahul Gandhi to honour the party's promise of Rs 90,000 cr loan waiver to Punjab farmers before waiving the loan of farmers from the three recently won states by Congress.
In a statement here, BJP national secretary Tarun Chugh said the announcements made regarding loan waiver in Punjab nearly two years ago have not been honoured and now the Congress laid a similar trap for the farmers of Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh. “Rahul and Congress need to start their loan waiver exercise from Punjab as the farmers waiting for the loan waiver from past two years were feeling cheated,” he said.
The BJP leader said it was a fact that his party lost the recent poll battle even after 15 years of ‘Sewa’ but it could not be termed as the victory of Congress.
