Sagar, MP, Nov 24 (UNI) Continuing his criticism of demonetisation, Congress President Rahul Gandhi today posed a rhetorical question to Prime Minister Narendra Modi by asking why several major industrialists did not queue up to exchange currency.
Addressing a campaign rally in this divisional headquarters, Mr Gandhi said, “The Premier addresses people as 'bhai'. Business magnate Anil Ambani is also his 'brother'. During demonetisation, farmers, women and people of other segments were observed lining up in front of banks. Mr Modi called it a battle against black money. Then why did not thieves line up? Instead, Mehul Choksi fled the country with thousands of crores of rupees.”
He alleged that chief ministers of all saffron party-ruled states are involved in scams or other forms of graft.
