Rahul Gandhi stages roadshow in Patna for Shatrughan

Patna, May 16 (UNI) After five days of BJP president Amit Shah's roadshow in the state capital in support of his party candidate, Congress president Rahul Gandhi staged road show for his party candidate from Patna Sahib Shatrughan Sinha here today.



The roadshow, which started from near Moin-ul-Haque stadium concluded at Nala Road after passing through Premchand roundabout and Dinkar roundabout.



Congress supporters carrying party flags showered flowers on Rahul Gandhi, who also reciprocated the gesture by shaking hands with them. Thousands of people stood on the roadside to greet him and actor-turned-politician Mr Sinha.



Mr Sinha's wife Poonam Sinha, former union minister and senior party leader Tariq Anwar, former union minister Subodh Kant Sahay, Leader of Opposition in Bihar Assembly Tejaswi Yadav and state Congress president Madan Mohan Jha accompanied Mr Gandhi during the roadshow.



Mr Sinha is pitted against union minister and BJP candidate from Patna Sahib constituency Ravi Shankar Prasad.
