New Delhi, June 5(UNI) Continuing his attack on the NDA government on the handling of the COVID crisis, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Friday again termed the lockdown imposed by the government as a 'failure.'
In a post on social media, Rahul, comparing the lockdown imposed by the NDA government with the lockdown imposed by countries like Spain, Italy, Germany and the United Kingdom through graphs, said,'this is how a failed lockdown looks like.'
Through graphs, Rahul sought to emphasize that lockdown was imposed in those countries when the number of cases of Coronavirus infection were increasing and when the process of unlocking began, the number of cases were on the decline.
However, in India the process of unlock is being initiated at a time when there is a sharp rise in the number of COVID cases.
Rahul Gandhi has earlier also termed lockdown as a failure. He has said that unlike countries like Spain, Italy, Germany and the United Kingdom, the decision to unlock has been taken at a time when the number of cases of Corona virus infection are on a rise.
It is notable that there has been a shar6jncrease in COVID cases in the country in the last few days.
In the last 24 hours, 9,851 cases of Corona virus infection were reported, taking the number of cases in the country to 2,26,770.
