New Delhi, May 10 (UNI) The Supreme Court on Friday reserved its order on petitions filed by dissident Bharatiya Janata Party leader Yashwant Sinha and others with regard to alleged malfeasance in the procurement process in the government-to-government deal to purchase Rafale fighter jets from France
Headed by Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi, the bench also comprising Justices Sanjay Kishan Kaul and K M Joseph, heard submissions from all the petitioners and respondents in the case.
Asking the parties to make their remaining submissions in written form within two weeks, the apex court also reserved its order on the contempt plea filed by BJP New Delhi MP Meenakshi Lekhi against Indian National Congress president Rahul Gandhi for his erroneous inference attributing 'Chowkidar chor hai' statements alluding to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the highest court of the land.

Senior counsel, Dr Abhishek Manu Singhvi, appearing for Mr Gandhi, reaffirmed that the Congress party chief, stuck to his political stand but was apologetic for his wrong inference.
Mr Mukul Rohatgi, appearing for the plaintiff, affirmed that Mr Gandhi's apology would not suffice and he should publicly apologise.
He added that Mr Gandhi had committed a mistake and the apex court should punish him. "He should be prosecuted for his offence," Mr Rohatgi submitted.
Ms Lekhi had filed a petition before the Supreme Court seeking initiation of contempt proceedings against Mr Gandhi, who tendered unconditional apology. She requested the apex court to direct Mr Gandhi to apologise to public for misleading them.
After hearing, the apex court reserved its order.
