Radhanagari irrigation dam overflowed

Kolhapur, Aug 10 (UNI) The Radhanagari irrigation dam , the main drinking water resources of Kolhapur city and the some tehsils places of the districts was field it's capacity on Wednesday.
According to district irrigation department that 3,4,5,6 number gate were opened. The water storage of the dam at 8.35 TMC and total 7,312 cusec water were discharged from the two automatic doors in Bhogavati river.
Meanwhile with discharging water from the Radhanagari irrigation dam and heavy rainfall in the western parts of the district, the water level of main Panchangaga river increasingly rapidly towards danger mark of 43 feet, which is now 41.2 feet at Rajaram Bandhara. Total 76 Bandhara (weivers) were submerged by the flooding water of different rivers in the district.
