R-Day: Jammu IGP for strengthening border policing, intensifying night patrolling on NH

Jammu, Jan 20 (UNI) Inspector General of Police Jammu Zone, Mukesh Singh, on Monday stressed for strengthening border policing and intensifying night patrolling along the national highways ahead of Republic Day celebrations.
Chairing a security review meeting with all Stake holders here on Monday evening to discuss the Police and Security arrangements required to be made for the celebration of Republic Day-2020, the IGP stressed upon all the officers that proper briefing be given to the officers/ Officials deployed for Republic Day duties in view of threat of terror attacks and frequent ceasefire violations from across the border.
He stressed upon all the participants for effective and co-ordinated efforts at gross root level for smooth conduct of the function.
