Quick Ride hits 2 mln registered car-poolers in India

New Delhi, Jul 15 (UNI) Quick Ride, a car and bike-pooling application, on Monday announced the successful registration of more than 2 million users on its platform across Bangalore, Mumbai, Delhi-NCR, Pune, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kochi, and Kolkata.
The Bengaluru based start-up entered the market in 2015 and has emerged as the largest carpooling network in the country. More than 2 lakh users out of the registered 2 million are from Delhi.

Today, Delhi is the fourth largest market after Bengaluru, Chennai and Pune and has witnessed a growth of 50 per cent month-on-month over the last nine months. Quick Ride has completed over 3 lakh carpools and prevented 1080 tons of carbon emission in the national capital, since kicking off its services in October 2018.
With over 20000 daily active users in the city, Quick ride has successfully facilitated around 5000 carpools, thereby preventing approximately 5000 vehicles from the roads every day. This initiative alone is preventing around 18 tonnes of carbon emission every day. Out of the total users in Delhi, 55 per cent of Quick Riders are women, thereby ensuring convenience and safety while commuting.
