Chandigarh, Oct 31 (UNI) Purav Raja of India, pairing with Antonio Sancic of Croatia defeated Simone Bolelli of Italy and Sergiy Stakhovsky of Ukraine in a tough pre-quarter-final round match in doubles of the € 43,000 Challenger Eckental in Germany on Wednesday.
It was a tough contest with the first two sets were extended to tie-breaker and each pair winning a set each.
Raja-Sancic lost the first set 6-7 (4) but just managed to pip their rival in the second set 7-6 (6). Tied one set all, Raja-Sancic mounted relentless pressure and won the super tie-breaker without losing a point at 10-0.
