Chandigarh, Sep 20 (UNI) The Punjab Vigilance Bureau (VB), on Friday apprehended a Patwari, posted at Revenue halka village Jassian, in Ludhiana district for demanding and accepting bribe of Rs 25,000.
Disclosing this here today, an official spokesperson of the state VB said the Patwari Anil Narula has been arrested on a complaint lodged by Major Singh, of New Amar Nagar, in Ludhiana city.
He further informed that the complainant has approached the VB and alleged in his complaint that the accused had demanded Rs 25,000 for providing 25 years revenue record for mutation of his ancestral land.
