Punjab state unit chief Sampla "unhappy" over ticket to sitting Phagwara MLA

New Delhi, Jan 17 (UNI) Notwithstanding assertion by Union Minister and Punjab BJP Chief Vijay Sampla that all is well in the state unit of the party post distribution of tickets, sources said there were strong protest from Mr Sampla over issuing of ticket to Phagwara legislator Som Parkash.
Mr Sampla, sources said, was not happy with the sitting MLA and had objected to his being given the ticket.
According to party insiders, Mr Sampla was "unhappy" with the issuing of ticket to Parkash -- who is known to be enjoying close proximity with Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley.
