Punjab police arrests Shiv Sena ((Taksali) prez over objectionable video

Amritsar, Jul 12 (UNI) Punjab Police on Sunday arrested Shiv Sena (Taksali) president Sudhir Suri over the viral video clip denigrating women and inciting enmity between different groups through objectionable pictures , after a nearly 1300 km chase that ended in Indore, Madhya Pradesh.

Two Punjab Police teams, comprising 11 personnel of Amritsar (Rural) district, nabbed Suri on Sunday morning, said DGP Dinkar Gupta, adding that a manhunt had been launched for him after the release of a video with alleged derogatory remarks against women, followed by a Facebook video in which he had subsequently claimed that the objectionable video clip was a voiceover by some other person using his name.

Bhopal, Nov 29 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan expressed satisfaction on Sunday over the rate of novel coronavirus infection declining in the state owing to ceaseless endeavours.
“Earlier; approximately 1,800 fresh cases were being reported daily but that figure has declined to the vicinity of 1,500. However, greater alertness is imperative vis-à-vis Indore and Bhopal districts where containment zones have been demarcated,” the senior politician was officially quoted as saying during a review meeting.

4 babies die on single night at govt hosp

Shahdol, MP, Nov 29 (UNI) The District infirmary administration has gone into a tizzy after four infants died at the Special New-born Care Unit on the intervening night of November 26-27.
Civil Surgeon VS Bariya attributed one of the fatalities to pneumonia but denied any negligence on part of the hospital staff.

Jyotiraditya to meet MP CM

Bhopal, Nov 29 (UNI) Bharatiya Janata Party stalwart and Rajya Sabha Member Jyotiraditya Scindia is scheduled to meet Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Monday during a visit to the state capital.
Sources said that the erstwhile central minister will arrive here from Delhi by air in the morning. Subsequent to the key meeting, the former parliamentarian shall depart for Orchha to attend a programme and then return to the national capital via Gwalior.
