Punjab: Paddy harvesting time fixed from 10 am to 7 pm

Kapurthala, Sep (UNI) Deputy Commissioner Kapurthala Deepti Uppal on Wednesday fixed the time of operation of combine harvesters for harvesting paddy under section 144 within the district.
She directed that the harvesting of paddy should be done by the combine owners at any place in the district under any circumstances from 10 am to 7 pm only.
She said that usually the harvesting of paddy is done with the help of combine harvesters and the owners of the combine harvesters do not inform the farmers about the exact time and whenever the combine is available to the farmers they get the harvest done. And high moisture paddy is harvested.
