If the traveller does not have the COVA app, he/she can also log on to the government portal — portalhttps:ova.punjab.gov.in/registration — and then e-register all members of his/her family travelling with them to Punjab.
In case any inbound traveller does not follow the advisory, he/she will be asked at the border, railway station, airport check post while entering the state to cooperate with the team of the Punjab government, who would then undertake the data-capturing process at the spot itself.
Since the process may take a lot of time at the border, the passengers have been requested to comply by the advisory to avoid any hassle.
Except for frequent travellers, all inbound persons after reaching Punjab will have to undertake a self-quarantine of 14 days and during this period, they will have to update their health status daily on the COVA app or would have to call the number 112 daily.
In case they feel they are developing any symptoms of COVID-19, they will have to immediately call 104. For international travellers, they will be institutionally quarantined for the first seven days and then under home quarantine for the next seven days.
