Jalandhar, Jul 15 (UNI) Punjab Health Department on Monday detected dengue larva at 67 locations in the city under ‘Tandarust Punjab Mission’ launched to eradicate vector borne diseases.
Civil Surgeon Gurinder Kaur Chawla and epidemiologist Satish Kumar said that during checking, the teams visited 795 houses, checked 1088 waste containers and 322 desert coolers in different colonies of the city.
According to the officials, 19 places in Navi Baradari were affected by the dengue larva, 14 in Lasoori Mohalla, 10 in Qazi Mandi and 24 in other locations.
