Punjab government appoints nodal teams for flood damage assessment & relief operations

Chandigarh, Sep 14 (UNI) Punjab’s Revenue, Rehabilitation, and Disaster Management Minister, S. Hardeep Singh Mundian, announced today that the state government has deployed nodal chairpersons and members to oversee flood damage assessments, streamline relief and rehabilitation efforts across the state.
The unprecedented floods have caused widespread devastation in Punjab, with 2,303 villages identified for urgent relief and rehabilitation support. The appointed nodal representatives will collaborate closely with district administrations and designated gazetted officers to ensure effective execution of relief measures.
“The nodal teams will monitor the distribution of relief materials, assess crop losses, damage to homes and livestock, and expedite compensation claims to ensure timely assistance for affected families,” Mundian stated.

HP: Three held with heroin in Palampur
